Maya- Chess Board

To make my chess board, I based it off real chess pieces I found online, combining different aspects of different pieces. I started with a cylinder for most of them and manipulated them from there. I would then round the objects out to finalize them.

Maya- Still Life

I made the pear in class by using the revolve tool and I used the same process for the glass. For the plate and table, I manipulated polygons.

Maya- City

I made each building in a variety of ways. But basically, for most of them I would start with a cube and manipulate the faces and edges to create unique architecture. I also made use of the extrude tool.

Maya- Lampost

I made this lamp post in class, following the step by step instructions we were given.

Maya- Snowman

To create this snowman, I built and altered basic geometric shapes and added them to one another.

2nd Editorial Piece

For my second attempt at my editorial, I uses an entirely different approach. I started with a blank canvas and took a picture of duct tape and placed it onto the white background. I used duct tape because duct tape can be used to tape a mouth shut and keep the quiet. I then used brushes that I downloaded to created blood and hair. I used the same text as I did in my first editorial but placed them differently so they fit more appropriately.

Editorial

This is my editorial piece that I created by starting a background I composed. The background was made my combining textures I found around online. I also added in shadows especially around the edges. I then used a picture of a face that I stripped down the color and added new colors and texture. I also added filters to the face and eyes. Then I erased out areas. Finally I added text to the piece.
